Chastity Bono Announces She is Having a Sex Change

Chastity Bono, born a girl to parents Sonny and Cher has decided to undergo a sex change and become a man. He made this shocking announcement through a spokesperson, and has already began taking the necessary steps in order to change his gender.

Never before has somebody of Bono’s fame status decided to undergo such a shocking transformation, and according to the 40 year old writer and reality television star, he hopes his decision will “open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue.”

“Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity, ” rep Howard Bragman said in a statement.

Cher is yet to comment publically on the situation, and is keeping a relatively low profile.

Chastity’s transformation to a man will be a difficult one, and will require hormone therapy and surgery.
