The hunt is still underway for 13 year old Daniel Hauser and his mother who have been on the run from authorities since last Monday.

Daniel Hauser and his mother are on the run, to avoid being forced to seek medical attention for Daniel, who is battling Hodgkin’s disease.

If daniel does not receive chemotherapy, he will die say his doctors, but due to his religious beliefs he has chosen to take the alternative medicine route.

Police have been looking for the pair since Tuesday morning, but so far they have been unable to locate the mother and son.

Late last week, one emerging theory was that the pair were heading to Mexico, a fact that has not been confirmed as of yet.

Doctors have stated that with chemotherapy treatment, there is a 95% chance that Daniel can fully recover from his cancer.

They say that without chemo, he will be dead within 5 years.

“Our concern’s been high right from the start,” said Brown County Sheriff Rich Hoffmann. “We’re doing what we can do to try to locate him and to get him the help that he needs.”
