A 10 year old girl from Fullerton, California is in the fight of her life after being diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
Hannah Powell-Auslam talked about her diagnosis on Good Morning America and the subsequent mastectomy that was performed to remove the tumor.
Doctors diagnosed her cancer back in April when the little girl’s parents took her to have a lump on her rib cage looked at.
She underwent the surgical procedure in May and now has a bout of chemotherapy to endure to insure that her cancer does not return.
When talking about her chemo treatments, the little girl said: “You feel like you’re sick all the time. You just want to go lay in bed and be in your closed-off little box.”
Hannah is the youngest child in the United States to be diagnosed with breast cancer, is one of only a handful of children to have this type of the disease.
