Boston (HealthKnowItAll) - An elementary school located in Pittsburgh has been closed for a week over fears of swine flu.
The school, located in Contra Costa County was closed because health officials sited 3 possible cases of the swine flu virus.
On Tuesday up to 13 children were absent from school because of flu like symptoms, so the decision was made to close the school for a week.
All the children were from the same grade 4 class, which is a bad sign for sure, since one of them recently had a relative visit from the country of Mexico.
Speaking of Mexico, more than 150 deaths have been reported in that country from the swine flu.
In the U.S. the first death from the virus was reported yesterday, and overall more than 40 cases have been reported.
Cases of swine flu have also been reported in Canada, Australia, and the UK.
