Health officials in South Korea are now confirming the second case of swine flu in the country
Boston (HealthKnowItAll) - Health officials in South Korea are now confirming the second case of swine flu in the country.

This case is in a nun, who reportedly came into contact with the first person to contract the virus.

“She went to the airport to pick up the patient who was became the first confirmed case,” an official at the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said.

This new patient is in hospital and is being monitored very closely.

The first confirmed case, a 51 year old woman had visited Mexico before returning home.

She was hospitalized for treatment but has since recovered.

So far, swine flu has been identified in 18 countries and has infected more than 11000 people.

In Mexico, more than 170 people have died from the swine flu.
