Health officials have ordered an elementary school located in Boston to close tempoerarily because of swine flu.

The school, James Otis Elementary School, is located in east Boston, and will be closed for a few days after it was discovered that many children had flu like symptoms.

This marks the 9th public school in Boston to be closed because of swine flu, as health officials try to contain the virus from spreading.

“We continue to work closely with the Boston Public Health Commission to monitor attendance and illness rates in every one of our 143 schools,” said Superintendent Carol R. Johnson.

No cases of actual swine flu have been confirmed at the school, but health officials are airing on the side of caution.
