Yesterday marked National Cancer Survivor Day, a day to celebrate all those brave men and women who have been diagnosed with cancer and somehow beaten back the disease.

This special day is held on the first Sunday of June each and every year, with events being held in communities all over the country to celebrate the lives of cancer survivors.

The day is to bring together cancer survivors, their families and health care providers to celebrate life, and to remember how precious life really is.

The day is organized by the National Cancer Survivor Day Foundation, and is one of only a handful of events held across the country to bring together cancer survivors.

In a recent report we learned that the rate of cancer related death is on the down low across America, which is a sign that all the hard work is paying off when it comes to cancer research.

A lot of work still needs to be done to continue to insure that cancer related deaths keep declining across the country.

This year alone, according to the American Cancer Society, more than 1 million Americans will be diagnosed with various forms of cancer.
