Children Who Move A Lot At Increased Risk Of Suicide

A new study has found that the more a family moves from home to home, the greater risk of their children developing thoughts of suicide.
This study comes to us from researchers living in Denmark, and focused on children between the ages of 11 and 17.
The study found that the more a child moved with their family the greater their risk of attempting and succeeding when it came to suicide.
For their study the researchers looked at Danish population registries from 1978 and 1995 featuring more than 120,000 children.
The researchers noted a direct corelation between changing addresses, and up to 4,160 children who attempted suicide.
Researchers noted that those who moved more than 3 times had a double risk of attempting to kill themselves, than those who moved less during their childhood.
