Tainted Peanut Butter Still Resulting in Salmonella Cases

Boston (HealthKnowItAll) - The outbreak of salmonella that has rocked the US is still not under control with cases being reported daily.
Since it was first reported, more than 600 cases of salmonella poisoning have been reported and 9 deaths.
The outbreak has been traced to peanut butter produced by Peanut Corporation of America who have since closed 2 of their plants.
As a result of an investigation, it has been revealed that officials with the company knew of the contamination and had time to do something about it, but did not.
More than 200 different brands of food containing the tainted peanut butter have been recalled.
Peanut Corporation of America have since claimed bankrupcy as a result of the peanut butter recall.
