Exploding Fitness Balls Recalled Across America

Boston (HealthKnowItAll) - The latest recall to be reported is by a company who makes exercise fitness balls.
Exercise balls are commonly used for abdominal workouts, and when used properly can provide an amazing ab crushing workout.
More than 3 million of the balls are being recalled from fitness and department stores across the country and all come equipped with the Bally Total Fitness, Everlast, or Valeo logo.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, they have received more than 47 reports of the exercise balls bursting without warning, in some cases causing injury to the person using it.
Types of injuries reported included fractures, and multiple bruises caused when the fitness balls burst while in use.
The fitness balls were imported from China, manufactured by EB Brands, and come in 55-, 65- and 75-cm diameter sizes.
