The recall is being issued by meat packing company, Valley Meats LLC of Coal Valley after cases of E. coli poisoning were reported and linked to their product.

So far, cases of E. coli bacteria poisoning have been reported in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Illinois.

The ground beef in question was produced in March and comes in 10-pound and 40-pound packages.

It was produced under the label names Grillmaster, J&B, Thick’N Savory, 3S, Klub and Ultimate.

All effected ground beef have the establishment number of “EST. 5712″

Luckily for the majority of consumers, the effected ground beef was not distributed to grocery store chains.

The USDA has not stated how many cases of E. coli poisoning have been linked to the consumption of the effected ground beef.

Symptoms of E. coli poisoning can range from vomiting and diarrhea, to severe stomach cramps and fatigue.

The bacteria usually effects the young, old or those with a compromised immune system, much harsher than it would a healthy adult.
