Boston (HealthKnowItAll) - A new survey released in America finds that only 1 third of people where sunscreen when outside.

Sunscreen is a vital weapon when it comes to protecting us from the dangerous rays omitted by the sun, but few people take the time to protect themselves.

Sunscreen comes in many different brands, sents, and strengths but despite all of this, people still opt to brave the outdoors, without applying it thus raising their own risk of developing skin cancer.

Sunscreen acts as a buffer when it comes to the rays from the sun, thus reducing the risk of those harmful rays from reaching our skin tissue.

The number one reason why Americans fail to layer up when it comes to sunscreen, is complacency, meaning, that they have the “oh I’ll be ok” mentality, one that can be very dangerous indeed.
